You may have already noticed that I developed a little obsession recently: outfits that are restricted to a concise pallet of brown, beige and white. However, while most bloggers and fashion icons have gone increasingly beige (see my previous post), I sometimes miss a more creative and textural approach to these hues. Therefore, I like to add a statement piece in animal print to my beige outfit.
I L O V E animal prints, especially leopard and snake prints. I feel like animal prints come back every year (or even every season). Much to my pleasure this season the snake or python print is hot and happening (YAY). From shoes to blazers, from bags to scrunchies, you can find it in almost every store and you shouldn’t be afraid of combining different snake-print pieces in one outfit. Just go wild.
Personally, I love to combine my snake print blazer (similar option here) and boots from Zara (similar option here, oh my god and I love these ones! If you are not on a budget you can shop similar ones here). I’ve been wearing these beauties a lot and many passers-by asked me where they are from. Even a professor at Ohio State University told me my boots were great (and that they would love them in Texas). Ha, so I assume they are a great catch!
I combine my boots (and blazer) with a black (chino) pants (here with my – very old – 7 for all mankind jeans) and top or I just wear them when going all beige. Perfect look to go to work and for drink afterwards. Don’t you think?
