The nice thing about fashion is that it never stops evolving. Every season there are loads of new trends that slowly make their way from the runway to the streets and very quickly everyone wants to own them (at least I do). Unfortunately, some of these trends can be very burdensome for your wallet. Since the average woman is not that fortunate to get the newest trends delivered to her house, we are in desperate need for some affordable designer-inspired pieces.
I did some research for scoring five SS18 trends that are now hot and happening without spending a huge amount of money. I will be posting one every week to escape the quotidian and spice things up.
So, I will not leave you guys in suspense any longer and introduce the first trend you should own this season!
The monochrome suit
After a season of living in silence, the suit has definitely made its comeback. Besides adding a chequered suit (which is certainly still on trend) to your wardrobe, you can get yourself one in a flashy colour this Spring. You could not help noticing the monochrome suit during Milan and Paris fashion week and I am fully convinced that it will make its way to the closet of many women this season.
Which fit should you buy?
You can get the more classy version, which you can wear to work on a daily basis or you can take a walk on the wild side by wearing a more casual look with an oversize breasted blazer and cropped pants. Which one do you prefer?
Where to buy?
Now let’s get to the most important part: where can you buy your suit? I was totally obsessed with the look Negin Mirsalehi was wearing for the Dolce & Gabbana show during Milan fashion week. Therefore, I started searching for a pink suit and found one at Bershka.
Important note: they also have one in red (which I also LOVE) and green. I like to combine my pink suit with my favorite black Supertrash boots or my Nike sneakers (when in need for a more relaxed look). It’s super comfy and perfect for going to work on Friday and go out for drinks afterwards.
In need of a more casual suit? Stop over at Zara (I really like the belt on this suit)!
Have fun shopping!
